By and large, physical health is still more straightforward and (often) more tangible than mental health, but over the course of the past decade, there’s been increased willingness to recognize mental health as an essential part of one’s well-being. In short, we’ve come a long way. As a mental health provider, at HRS we have seen the advancements up close and personal and will share resources, a happiness test and more during the upcoming year.

With the help of mental health experts, we’ve taken a look at some of the most significant breakthroughs concerning mental health over the last 10 years, as well as where we need to do better going forward.

Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood.

Good way to start off is with happiness!
