What Inspires Luene?

Luene opened the door to Health Risk Services Inc. on January 1, 2000 to provide Calgary clients with First Class Insurance Products and Third Party Benefit Administration Services. With much work and heartfelt dedication, Health Risk Services currently serves clients from British Columbia right out to Montreal, Quebec! With over 33 years of experience in the Insurance Industry, Luene believes strongly that if she educates her clients well and presents all of the options available to create the solutions the client is searching for, the client will make the right choices for their needs and requirements. She is a fully licensed Insurance Broker in several provinces allowing her to provide clients with all forms of Personal, Corporate and Group Insurance plans. She takes a great deal of pride in the fact that she has also designed many innovative Benefit Plans that can be tailored to suit every client’s wishes on their Benefits Bucket List!!

Luene works with existing and new clients providing insurance and benefits knowledge, innovative program design, comprehensive plan management and general attentiveness to any situations that may arise regarding administration or claims. She works closely with her team and strives to always maintain the strong Health Risk Services Corporate Culture while at the same time insisting on the preservation of the Health Risk Services Corporate Values. Luene states that “Clients come first and no one at HRS is just a Certificate Number!”

Luene currently resides just outside of Calgary with her husband James and enjoys the full circle of life with her two adult children and 3 grandsons. Her furry child…Weston, spends his time accompanying her to the office to greet clients and helps her appreciate the time to go outside and smell the flowers… or grass! Luene takes delight in welcoming all clients and visitors to the Health Risk Services office with a smile and a cup of coffee and would be very happy to chat with you about either your Employee Benefits Program or Insurance needs!!

Carrie joined the Health Risk Services team in June of 2013. With a strong background in Customer Service Management and most recently the Dental Industry, she brings with her a desire to provide the highest level of service possible. Her Dental experience has proven an asset in helping Health Risk Services clients navigate the often confusing world of Dental Benefits. This experience also assists Health Risk Services in creating Dental programs that truly work within the chosen parameters of plan design and costs. Her superb knowledge and abilities in the management of Dental claims allows for the employer plan to be accurately managed, employees to be reimbursed properly and Dental Providers to be paid efficiently…..the result is everyone is happy!!

Health Risk Services is very happy to have Carrie helping clients with all aspects of managing their Traditional Health & Dental Plans, Health Spending Accounts, Flexible Spending Accounts, Cost Plus Plans or Short Term Disability Plans. She manages every aspect of the Benefits Operations from plan building, enrollments, claims adjudication, invoicing and accounts receivable with extreme accuracy and efficiency!

Carrie strives to provide courteous and prompt service to all of the Health Risk Services clients and their employees. A native Calgarian, Carrie loves to explore the parks and pathways in the city and surrounding areas with her Fiancé Sean and their two dogs Finnegan and Hudson.

What Inspires Pamela?

Pamela’s background is extensive with a focus mainly in the finance and insurance industries having earned a Bachelor of Commerce, Financial Services degree in 2008. She has had the pleasure working in various administrative, customer service and financial roles over the years. Pamela first came into the industry, twenty-five years ago, working for financial representatives at an investment firm in Saskatoon Saskatchewan. This path led to Calgary in 2002 and into banking, mutual fund investments, group benefit insurance, underwriting, and risk analysis. She spent three years working closely with insurance brokers, clients and the insurance companies as a marketing assistant. Following that she was an underwriter for one of Canada’s fastest growing mortgage companies and was honoured with a nomination in 2009 as one of Canada’s Best Underwriters. After the mortgage crisis in 2008, she decided to take a turn into a new industry and was an Authorized Agent for the Crown for Service Alberta for the past seven years.

Pamela is pleased to be back in the industry she loves the most and assisting clients with their benefit needs. Her main focus, regardless of the field of work, has always been customer service and retention. Putting your needs in the forefront and working together to find solutions is what matters most to her. Born in Saskatchewan and living in Calgary for 16 years, Pamela spends as much time in the mountains with her husband and two dogs as she possibly can!
